On the calendar it says no practice tomorrow. It is only at Cavelero not Lake Stevens Middle. If your team practice at Lake Stevens Middle , your team has practice. We are having try outs next month. If your child plans on participating in the spring, please register your child. Register on the website. Spread the word. We are anticipating some new players for spring try outs. We look forward to seeing you again for a competitive season.

We would like to congratulate the 6th grade girls for finishing in second place in their MLK tournament. Great job! If your child is interested in trying out for the spring team, please visit the website and register. We are looking forward to seeing current and new faces in the program. There will be some coaching changes for spring as our organization grows. We are still looking for more female coaches for the girls side of the program. If you know of any women that fit the bill, please let us know about them. Enjoy the snow fall. Of course, no practice or training tonight.

School is closed on Monday. 4th/5th grade boys won both their league games today. The 4th/5th grade girls, I was told lost a close one and due to injuries lost their second game in their tournament. Coach Kevin, who is filling in for the head coach said, the girls are playing very hard. It is not due to lack of effort that they came up short. The 6th grade girls won both their games today. The 7th grade boys ended the day 1 and 1. The 8th grade girls lost both games today. The 7th grade girls finished 0-2 but both games were close. Coach Jeremy said, they need to work on rebounding better and finishing at the basket. There will be training on Thursday. Make sure you register your child for training. Most teams are entered into a Martin Luther King weekend tournament. 4th/5th grade girls are playing in Ferndale, The 6th grade, 7th grade. 8th grade girls and 8th grade boy teams are playing in Seattle. The 7th grade boy team is playing at Western Washington. Good luck to all teams. Your coaches should be sending you the time and location of your games. The 4th grade boys have a double header this Saturday. There is no training or practice tomorrow at Cavelero. There is an international team visiting to play Lake Stevens high school boys tomorrow night at Cavelero.

The 6th/7th grade boys played their last game last night in their three game round robin play over the weekend. The boys finished 2 and 1. Great job! Training for Tuesday and Thursday this week has been canceled. There are basketball games at Cavelero both days. There will be no practice for the 4th grade boys on Thursday. There is an international team coming in to play Lake Stevens at Cavelero on Thursday night. I will find out the time and will let everyone know if you would like to attend. It would be great for the kids to see an international HS team play the local team. I hope to see you there. Have a great week.
